Dargis (Palanga fisherman)

Summary

Dargis is the fisherman husband of Rimgailė. When the keeper collapses on the sand by the burning kneeling statue in December 1449, Rimgailė calls and Dargis comes running bare-headed, staring at the fire and at the stranger; by the end of a month he is lifting the sick man from the bench by the hand.
